A retro future spider vehicle. It won second place in the subdivisionmodeling.com Hellfire Spider competition. The objective was to build an articulate model, anatomically proportional to the Hellfire Widow Spider, a species that is similar to the black widow.
Modeled, textured and rendered in Modo. Some additional texturing in Photoshop. "Rigged" in Modo using a homemade proxy rig to articulate the joints. I have just completed a walk cycle for the spider and will post the animation soon.
